As the night comes to a close to a close at Spookers, New Zealand’s biggest horror attraction, the undead gather for a debriefing. The team praise each other on their performances, a zombie is awarded best actor for the night, and someone spins a prize wheel… earning himself a pat on the back from everyone close enough to give one.
“It’s definitely a place I couldn’t ever see myself leaving,” said Ben King, a member of the Spookers family. “It’s just too much fun.”
A documentary chronicling the “family like no other” was released earlier this year. The film will be screened at the 2017 New Zealand Film Festival on July 22 and 26.
