The Ohio State Fair has started its second week. The Columbus fair has been a favorite family tradition since 1850.
The two-week annual event includes a variety of activities and exhibits including interactive educational activities, sporting competitions, a fine arts show, entertainment stages, petting zoo, helicopter rides, farm animal delivery room, roving performers, agricultural competitions, more than 60 fun rides, horse shows, an eight-acre natural resources park with free kiddie fishing and hundreds of food vendors.
Attendance for the Ohio State Fair was 982,305 in 2015, the highest 12-day attendance on record. The event runs through August 6 at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fair at 717 East 17th Avenue.
